So the first sign of trouble when I got home was hearing my dogs tags jingling on the other side of the front door as I was unlocking it. Sure enough, Lou is out of his crate. I walk into the kitchen to see how this happened (his crate is in the kitchen on the linoleom floor due to a prior incident where he broke the tray of this crate and shredded the carpet underneath!) and I see the panel to his crate has been pulled down! He also pulled the rug into his cage and destroyed it, and pulled one of my hubby's flip flops into the cage and ate it (the second pair within a few weeks (but thats what my busband gets for leaving them near by lol). After this, I expected to find a lot more damage throughout the house, but surprisingly, all I found was a thin mints wrapper in his bed in my room!

I left Hudson for an hour and he managed to bend and break the steel bars and make a clean escape route out of his crate. I got home before he made it out but it looked like a super hero came over and ripped the crate open for him. I was devastated but he seems damn proud!

Please look closely and you will notice my mutt has destroyed his crate (he had it for 2 days). In front he bent and tore off pieces of the metal gate and if you look top right - he bent the vent area with his head!

I should change Hud's name to Houdini!!! I went out for a few hours and upon my return discovered not only had Hud destroyed the crate from within - but he pulled my work bag into his destroyed crate AND destroyed that!

My dog destroyed his bed in his crate. My trainer said anything he chews in there he doesn't get back but I assumed he was uncomfortable on the plastic floor of his crate so I gave him a new towel to cuddle up with. Fool me once - shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me!
